Mr. Kushagra Nayan Bajaj is the Chairman of the $2.5−billion diversified Bajaj Group with major interests in the Sugar, Ethanol, Power and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industries.
Mr. Bajaj has over 18 years of experience in the Consumer and Sugar industry. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited (BHSL) as a Joint Managing Director in April2007, and was designated Vice Chairman in April2011. He was re−designated as Chairman and Managing Director of BHSL in October 2014. He has served as the Chairman of Bajaj Consumer Care Limited since September 2007, and as Executive Chairman of Lalitpur Power Generation Company Limited (LPGCL) since August 2019.
Mr. Bajaj holds a BScin Economics, Political Philosophy, and Finance from Carnegie Mellon University (USA) and an MScin Marketing from Northwestern University (USA). Mr. Bajaj's academic qualifications are matched only by his expansive business pursuits, his altruistic attitude and the eagle−eyed vision that he brings to business.
Carrying forward the group’s 100−year−old legacy built on the ideals of trust, transparency, leadership and service to the nation, Mr. Bajaj is also counted among India’s leading philanthropists. Along with education, innovation and rural India are subjects that are close to his heart. He is a guiding force behind the Bajaj Foundation, the group’s philanthropic arm. In 2011, Mr. Bajaj made a $2.5−million gift to endow a professorship at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
